A crane scale can weigh things as they hangs from a crane. Depending on what model you go with crane scales usually have either a mechanical dial display or electronic one.

A crane scale is, basically, a box with a read-out display in its face, a hook hanging from its bottom and a loop or something to attach it to the cranes hook. The object to be weighed is then hung from the hook coming from the bottom the scale. The read-out will soon display the weight.
