Axle scales are used to measure things that would crush most normal scales. Things like cars and trucks can be weighed on axle scales. This type of scale proves useful of many applications.

For instance, when shipping vehicles from the country they were made, they need to be weighed before shipment. Or when moving across country and you are forced to ship your car, the same weighing needs to be done. This is all so the shippers won't put more on the truck, boat or plane than it can handle.

In the race car industry, race cars are weighed to make sure they are not too light. A car that is too light may be unsafe and have an unfair advantage on the track. So axle scales are used to keep things safe and fair – that can’t be said about most scales.

Axle scales are unlike your average balance scales. Axle scales can weigh vehicles heavier than several thousand pounds. That is truly heavy!
